The Unexpected Visitor

DD came in telling me she saw a mouse... it was a baby opossum. I left it alone and took photos only to draw- only to hear DD later "I stroked the baby opossum!!"
I DID try to keep it calm!!

How sweet! We have a fully grown opossum that walks around our house late at night. It's about the size of two cats.

Did you know opossums grow their entire life? The bigger the opossum, the older it is.

Did the baby's mom ever come for it?

We have Mama who hides under our car- she's pretty big- bigger than a cat anyway :) Yours must be ancient!!
Opossums drop off their mother once weaned and the mother never comes back- we think Pinky fell off a little early- even the vets thought she was small. I'll update in a post :)
